Restoring Vision, Restoring Lives: WYCDF’s Free Eye Medical Outreach in Abeokuta
Day 1 of the Wamufat Youth Community Development Foundation Sports Camp began with an inspiring start as over 400 students from six South West states arrived to officially register for this historic event.
The day saw:
Biometric registration for all participants.
Coaches and assistant coaches ensuring their respective students were registered, assigned accommodation, and served meals.
Every participant receiving their official camp ID card.
The event was graced by Ms. Olabisi Joseph, President of the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), who met with Alhaja Fatimoh, Founder of Wamufat International, to review the camp’s detailed timeline for the coming days.
Special guests Mary Blankemeier and Josh Eiland were also on site, engaging with participants and showing their support for this life-changing initiative.
The media team interviewed Alhaja Fatimoh, who shared an emotional reflection:
“This is a complete circle for me. I began my athletic journey in this very area, and now it’s time to give back.”
Due to the overwhelming turnout, registration continued into the late evening, setting a powerful tone for the days ahead.
